Our History
In 2008, Duck Creek Energy, Inc. celebrated its twenty fifth year in business. Founded in 1983 by David I. Mansbery, James Oberle and James Wilkes, Mr. Oberle was Field Manager for General Motors Lordstown and Mr. Wilkes started in the energy industry with Halliburton, and is the founder of Universal Well Services. Mr. Oberle and Mr. Wilkes left Duck Creek Energy in 1988. David Mansbery, President, continues to own Duck Creek Energy, and he along with his dedicated staff continues to operate wells throughout the region.
Duck Creek Energy, a privately held company, is located in Brecksville, Ohio and has successfully drilled over a 100 wells throughout northeast Ohio, many of which are located in Cuyahoga County. Duck Creek Energy has successfully drilled sensitive areas such as churches, cemeteries, golf club communities, schools and residential neighborhoods all with little fanfare; this is a safety record we are very proud of. Combined with the guidance from a simple vision to provide value for our investors, royalty owners and landowners, we will continue to maintain excellence in the oil and gas industry.
